Bicycle and motorcycle markets show growth in Argentina and Ecuador

In Argentina, bicycle sales have seen a resurgence, with local retailers reporting a 15% to 20% increase compared to last year. Demand is particularly high for all-terrain models featuring suspension and gear systems. Prices vary significantly, ranging from approximately $360,000 for entry-level models to $5,000 for high-end professional carbon fiber bicycles. Financing options, such as interest-free installments, are helping consumers access higher-tier models.

In Ecuador, the motorcycle market is experiencing significant growth. According to the Asociación de Empresas Automotrices del Ecuador (Aeade), 211,479 new motorcycles were sold between January and August 2026, marking a 20% increase over the same period in 2025. The growth is attributed to motorcycles becoming essential tools for urban mobility and work, particularly in the delivery sector.

Geographically, the Guayas province leads Ecuadorian sales with 28%, followed by Pichincha and Los Ríos. The most popular brands in the country are Shineray, with 36,847 units sold, and Daytona, with 29,139 units sold.
