Bielsko-Biała councilor seeks new playground for Kamienica

In the Kamienica district of Bielsko-Biała, Councilor Dorota Piegzik-Izydroczyk is pushing for the construction of a modern playground to address a lack of recreational infrastructure amid rapid residential development.

Previously, Piegzik-Izydroczyk supported a resolution to sell over two hectares of municipal land on Pileckiego Street. However, she is now submitting interpellations to secure a new location for a playground that would be attractive to children and integrated with the surrounding nature.

A prior proposal to use land in the Gościnna Dolina area was rejected by the city administration, citing environmental protections and the lack of a current budget or investment plan for that specific site. In response, the city stated it is analyzing possibilities for utilizing land in Kamienica for recreational purposes, including a playground.
