Bielsko-Biała issues building permit for 19 residential blocks

A building permit has been issued for a new residential development near the Bulwary Straceńskie in Bielsko-Biała. The project involves the construction of 19 apartment blocks, consisting of 17 four-story buildings and two three-story buildings, totaling approximately 379 apartments.

The development will occupy nearly 2.5 hectares of land situated between the Bulwary Straceńskie and the S1 expressway. As part of the agreement, the developer has committed to expanding a 200-meter section of the S1 service road, including the construction of sidewalks, lighting, and drainage to facilitate access to the new estate.

The permit was issued on July 23 following a six-year process. Local officials noted that the delay was due to formal deficiencies in the initial application and the need for documentation to be brought into compliance with legal regulations. A group of residents and a local councilwoman intend to meet with the city president to attempt to block the investment.
