Bielsko-Biała to host SOUNDESIGN and Polish Composers festivals

Bielsko-Biała is hosting two significant musical events focused on the intersection of sound, film, and local history.

The first edition of the SOUNDESIGN festival will take place in late September. The event aims to explore film music by connecting audiences with the creators behind the sound. Featured performers include British pianist and composer Roger Eno, Daniel Bloom, and Gaba Kulka. The program also includes a session with Henryk Kuźniak, a composer for over 150 films and series, and a performance by the punk rock band Moskwa.

Following this, the 29th Henryk Mikołaj Górecki Polish Composers Festival, titled ‘Voices of the City’, will be held from October 8 to 10. Organized by the Bielsko-Biała Maria Koterbska Cultural Center, the festival explores the musical history of the city, highlighting its connection to the Studio of Animated Film and various local theaters. The event serves as a precursor to the city's designation as the Polish Capital of Culture 2026.
