Bielsko production facility on fire, emergency alerts issued

A large-scale fire has broken out at a production facility for basins in Bielsko, located in the Międzychód County of the Greater Poland Voivodeship. The affected warehouse covers approximately 3,000 square meters.

Emergency response efforts involve 32 fire brigade units and 129 firefighters. Due to heavy smoke, the Government Centre for Security (RCB) issued an alert to residents of the Międzychód district, advising them to keep windows and doors closed, stay indoors if possible, and avoid the area near Przemysłowa Street.

A specialized Chemical and Ecological Rescue Group from Poznań has been deployed to monitor air quality in the region. Local officials, including Mayor Krzysztof Sobkowski, have stated that there is currently no information regarding any injuries.
