Bienal de Flamenco features works by Israel Galván and Pastora Galván
The XXIV Bienal de Flamenco features diverse performances from prominent flamenco artists, including Israel Galván, Pastora Galván, and Andrés Marín.
Israel Galván presented ‘Bolero de blanco y negro’ at the Teatro de la Maestranza. The production utilizes elements of pantomime, humor, and irony, drawing on the music of Maurice Ravel and Moncho. While some critics noted its intellectualized approach and use of parody, the performance remains a significant part of his artistic evolution.
Pastora Galván performed ‘Tribusssh!’ at the Teatro Alameda. Directed by Israel Galván, the show attempts to bridge the gap between rock and flamenco, incorporating both traditional dance and Andalusian rock influences.
Andrés Marín presented ‘Desierto’ at the Teatro Central. The performance, which explores the artist's connection to the La Alameda neighborhood, was attended by numerous prominent figures in the flamenco community, highlighting Marín's status as a master of the genre.
