Biennale del Gran Sasso selects five artists for inaugural edition

Five artists have been selected for the inaugural edition of the Biennale del Gran Sasso. The chosen artists are Simone Cametti, Francesco Mariano, Veronica Vagnoni, Serena Vittorini, and Xu Yang.

Starting September 1, the selected artists will participate in an artistic residency along the Cammino del Gran Sasso. During this period, they will create site-specific works in various host towns. The exhibition, themed ‘La Soglia’ (The Threshold), will be presented to the public on September 18, 19, and 20 through an itinerant program exploring the relationship between contemporary art, landscape, and community.

The projects include a light installation by Cametti, a sound work by Mariano, a performance by Vagnoni, a participatory choral performance by Vittorini, and a sculpture by Xu Yang.
