Bientina municipality waives September school bus fees

The municipality of Bientina has announced that families will not be charged for the school bus service for the month of September. This decision follows significant difficulties encountered during the initial launch of the service.

Mayor Dario Carmassi issued an apology on behalf of the administration, stating that the fee waiver is a tangible sign that the municipality understands the gravity of the inconvenience caused to families. The administration noted that they have maintained a direct dialogue with the consortium providing the service, which is currently under a short-term contract while a multi-year tender is pending.

To monitor and improve the situation, the municipality has sent employees on board the buses to verify routes and has adjusted schedules to better meet service needs. Officials stated they will continue to monitor the situation until the service is fully optimized.
