Bierzo magazine releases 44th edition focused on regional history
The Bierzo magazine has released its 44th edition, continuing its focus on the historical and patrimonial research of the Bierzo region. The publication serves as a specialized space for investigating cultural, artistic, and heritage resources.
This latest issue introduces a new section dedicated to illustrious figures of the region, featuring a profile of Julián González Castaño, a social leader and founder of the Red Cross in Ponferrada. The edition also includes a surprise tribute to Antolín de Cela, recognizing his 50 years of presence in the region and his long tenure as rector of the Basílica de la Encina.
The magazine is supported by the Basílica de la Encina and the Fundación Ana Torres Villarino, relying on the selfless collaboration of various authors to preserve the local memory of the area.
