Brandenburg fatal accident: Four youths killed in moped collision

Four young people died following a head-on collision in Brandenburg, Germany, on Wednesday evening. The accident occurred on the L200 road between Biesenthal and Wullwinkel when a 61-year-old driver attempted to overtake several vehicles.

According to police, the driver entered the oncoming lane and struck three of the four mopeds traveling in the opposite direction. The victims, aged 14, 15, 16, and 19, died at the scene. The fourth moped rider managed to avoid the collision and was uninjured. The car involved caught fire following the impact.

The driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Berlin. Emergency services, including fire departments and crisis intervention teams, responded to the scene. The L200 remained closed for several hours to allow for recovery operations and accident investigation.
