Big 12 unveils 2026‑27 basketball opponent matrix for member schools

The Big 12 Conference announced the 18‑game opponent matrix for the 2026‑27 basketball season. Each team will play six home games, six away games and three home‑and‑home matchups. Kansas women's basketball will host nine conference games at Allen Fieldhouse, facing Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech and UCF, while traveling to BYU, Cincinnati, Colorado, Houston, Utah and West Virginia, and playing home‑and‑home contests with Iowa State, Kansas State and Oklahoma State. The postseason tournament will be held at the T‑Mobile Center in Kansas City on March 3‑7/8.

BYU’s men’s schedule lists home opponents Arizona, TCU and Utah, with away games against Baylor, Cincinnati, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, West Virginia and additional conference foes at Arizona State, UCF, Colorado, Houston, Iowa State and Texas Tech. Cincinnati’s Bearcats will host Houston twice, face Kansas at Fifth Third Arena and play home‑and‑away series with Texas Tech and West Virginia, among other conference matchups.

All three schools are preparing for the new schedule as they aim to improve their NCAA tournament prospects.
