Big Bear Lake hosts holiday weekend events and seasonal activities

Big Bear Lake is entering its shoulder season, offering a variety of recreational activities and community events. As summer crowds decrease, the area provides opportunities for lakeside activities such as paddleboarding, kayaking, and fishing, particularly at locations like the Hotel Marina Riviera, which features new private dock access and mid-century styled cabins.

A holiday weekend lineup includes the debut of the Big Bear Rodeo & Carnival, featuring Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association-sanctioned events alongside a carnival with rides and live music. Additionally, the Southern California Mountains Foundation will host a season-closing concert at the Big Bear Discovery Center Amphitheater, and a synchronized drone show is scheduled for Sunday evening.
