Jason De Puy Evicted from Big Brother 28 Amid Drag Controversy
Former Drag Race contestant Jason De Puy, competing as a drag queen on CBS’s Big Brother 28, was voted out in a unanimous 12‑0 eviction after losing the Blockbuster challenge. In his exit interview, host Julie Chen Moonves highlighted his popularity with the audience and his status as one of the top three houseguests each week.
The eviction followed a heated off‑camera exchange in which MMA fighter Kamuela “Kamu” Kirk told fellow houseguest Rick Devens he did not want to wear women’s clothing, prompting some viewers and activist Frankie James Grande to label Kirk “homophobic” and call for his removal. CBS said it is monitoring the situation. Jason said he was not personally bullied, but noted the six‑person alliance—including Kirk, Haley Thogmartin and others—had targeted him. He expressed a desire to return to the show in a future season and praised his friend Frankie Grande for support.
The episode also saw alliances shift, with three reality‑TV alumni (Devens, Dee Valladares, Angela Murray) forming a power bloc that helped seal Jason’s fate.
