BIG EAST names weekly volleyball honors for Tesoro and Urbina

The BIG EAST conference has announced its weekly volleyball honors, recognizing standout performances from players at St. John's University and Georgetown University.

St. John's rookie Carola Tesoro was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week. The outside hitter recorded 52 kills in 11 sets during a perfect 4-0 week for the Red Storm. Tesoro, who leads the conference in kills and kills per set, became the first freshman in program history to receive this specific weekly award since its introduction in 2017.

At Georgetown, Juleigh Urbina earned the BIG EAST Setter of the Week title after recording 112 assists across 10 sets. Additionally, Kamryn Lee-Caracci was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll following a weekend performance in which she recorded 34 kills and maintained a .467 hitting percentage.
