Big Eddy Fuel Services closes following parent company bankruptcy

Big Eddy Fuel Services Ltd., a bulk fuel distributor based in Revelstoke, British Columbia, has closed its operations following the bankruptcy of its parent company, Calgary-based G&B Fuels Inc.

For over seven years, Big Eddy Fuel Services provided gas and diesel to various regions, including Mica Creek, Malakwa, Rogers Pass, Nakusp, Trout Lake, Silverton, and Burton. The company served as Revelstoke’s only locally based distributor of regular and premium gas, diesel, and ultra-low sulphur diesel.

G&B Fuels Inc., which employs between 50 and 200 people, operated across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories. While the specific reasons for the bankruptcy were not officially detailed, an anonymous source indicated the owner lost the business due to personal reasons.
