Big Heart kitten rescued from euthanasia due to heart defect

Big Heart, a white and grey kitten born with a congenital heart malformation, has been rescued from a situation where euthanasia was being considered. Originally labeled as ‘defective’ by a previous owner, the kitten was transferred to the Love Your Feral Felines shelter after its director intervened to prevent its death.

The kitten is currently in a foster home with Heather T., who provides specialized care and adapted play to protect his enlarged heart. Despite initial wariness, Big Heart has successfully bonded with a large dog in the household. Rescuers are now seeking a permanent, loving home for the kitten with owners who are prepared to manage his cardiac condition.
