Big Ten basketball programs prepare for upcoming Media Days

The Big Ten Conference will host its annual Media Days in Rosemont, Illinois, next week, featuring representatives from various basketball programs. The event will be broadcast by the Big Ten Network, with women’s teams scheduled for October 7 and men’s teams for October 8.

Nebraska will be represented by Maggie Mullin Pryce Sandfort and Braden Frager alongside Head Coach Fred Hoiberg. Sandfort, a 6-foot-7 wing, averaged 18.1 points last season, while Frager returns as the 2026 Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year. The Huskers are coming off a 28-7 season and a Sweet 16 appearance.

Purdue’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will also attend. For the men’s program, junior guard C.J. Cox is expected to take on a larger leadership role as the only returning starter. Additionally, 7-foot-4 center Daniel Jacobsen is positioned to play a more significant role following the departure of several key players.
