BIG W partners with DoorDash for rapid delivery in Australia

Retailer BIG W has partnered with delivery platform DoorDash to offer on-demand delivery of over 35,000 products across Australia. The service, which covers 156 BIG W stores, allows customers to receive items such as toys, electronics, clothing, beauty products, and homewares in as little as one hour.

This rollout follows a 10-store trial conducted in late September. BIG W, owned by the Woolworths Group, is the first discount department store in Australia to offer this type of instant on-demand delivery through DoorDash. The initiative aims to provide convenience for busy families, particularly ahead of the Christmas shopping season.

Approximately two-thirds of the available products on the platform are priced under $20 AUD. Delivery availability is subject to store operating hours and local stock levels.
