BIG50 Book Festival to host literacy events in North Northamptonshire

The BIG50 Book Festival will take place from October 16 to 25, featuring a program of free activities across North Northamptonshire. The festival aims to celebrate reading, storytelling, and creativity for all age groups.

Events will be held in various locations, including Corby, Kettering, Rushden, Wellingborough, Oundle, and Irthlingborough. The program includes sessions for babies and young children, such as Rhymetime and Gruffalo-themed storytelling, as well as creative writing opportunities and author meet-and-greets. Featured authors include Juliet Timpson and Amir Ali.

The festival is organized in partnership with entities such as Writing East Midlands, Made With Many, and the University of Northampton to promote literacy and make reading accessible to residents of all ages.
