Bigg Boss 20 launches with Mary Kom and celebrity cast

The 20th season of the Indian reality show Bigg Boss, hosted by Salman Khan, has commenced with a diverse cast of 17 contestants including Olympic boxer Mary Kom, actors Aamrapali Dubey, Uditi Singh, and Mahhi Vij, as well as singer Rhiti Tiwari.

The early episodes have been marked by interpersonal tension and strategic gameplay. During a captaincy task involving a special 'Vardaan' room with lifelines, contestants faced high-stakes decisions that led to heated arguments. The first round of nominations for eviction has named Kanika Mann, Uditi Singh, Love Gill, and Arishfa Khan.

Social friction has also emerged regarding personal lives. Mahhi Vij drew criticism for labeling the season a ‘divorcee special’ after discussing the marital histories of herself, Isha Rikhi, and Mary Kom. Additionally, a clash occurred between Arishfa Khan and Aamrapali Dubey following age-related remarks. The season also saw a verbal altercation between Qazi Touqeer and Yung DSA that echoed historical moments from previous seasons of the franchise.
