Bignona shopkeeper arrested for suspected pedophilia and rape of minors

Police in Bignona have arrested a shopkeeper in Tenghori on suspicion of pedophilia, repeated rape of minors, and unnatural acts. The arrest followed an operational intelligence report on October 12, 2026, regarding the sexual assault of a 17-year-old.

Investigations suggest the suspect targeted young boys by luring them into his shop with food and material goods. One victim reported being coerced into sexual relations on three occasions after being given an iPhone XR. During the police intervention, an electronic tablet left by the victim was recovered at the scene. To date, authorities have identified five suspected minor victims.
