Biłgoraj County announces pilgrimage to Górecko Kościelne

The Biłgoraj County has announced the V Pilgrimage of Local Government Officials and Village Heads to the Sanctuary in Górecko Kościelne, scheduled for October 4, 2026. The event will also include celebrations for Village Head Day.

The pilgrimage was originally planned for May 2026 but was postponed following a massive forest fire in the Puszcza Solska area, which affected the Łuków and Józefów communes. The rescheduling allows for the completion of damage assessments and the implementation of aid programs for the affected regions.

The program includes a solemn Mass at the Church of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr at 12:00 PM, followed by an integration meeting at Karczma Nad Szumem. The gathering serves as an opportunity for prayer, thanksgiving for the containment of the May fire, and professional exchange among local officials.
