BigXThaPlug pleads guilty to firearm charge in Dallas
Texas rapper BigXThaPlug has pleaded guilty to a firearm charge stemming from an August 2025 arrest in Dallas. The rapper was stopped by police after officers noticed his vehicle was missing a front license plate. During the subsequent search, he informed officers of a firearm in the vehicle; however, a criminal database indicated he was legally prohibited from possessing a weapon due to gang affiliations in Arlington.
As a result of the plea, BigXThaPlug received a six-month deferred adjudication sentence and must surrender his rights to the firearm involved. Court documents indicate that if he completes the sentence without further incidents, the conviction will be removed from his record.
This legal matter follows a recent arrest in Allen, Texas, where the artist was charged with driving under the influence, marijuana possession, and unlawful carrying of a firearm. Despite these legal challenges, he recently performed at the Iowa State Fair.
