Bihać advances Emerald Path project with new pier construction

Construction has begun on a new wooden pier at Amerikančevi Islands in Bihać as part of the Emerald Path project. This initiative aims to transform the city center by connecting various riverbanks, islands, and walkways into a unified recreational space along the Una River.

The project involves creating a green axis through central Bihać to facilitate walking, recreation, and tourism. Recent milestones include the completion of the final bridge on the route, which establishes a pedestrian connection between Gradska Island and the area near Krupska Street. The current works on the pier involve site preparation and the installation of the initial wooden structural elements, intended to provide citizens and visitors with direct contact with the river.
