Bihać-Bosanska Krupa railway fire triggers investigation and cancellations

A fire along the railway tracks between Bihać and Bosanska Krupa has led to the temporary suspension of several train services. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze, with local citizens raising suspicions that the fire may have been intentionally set.

Officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton have conducted an inspection of the site to document the situation and determine the circumstances of the fire. While there is no official confirmation of arson, the investigation is ongoing.

Safety concerns remain as smoldering trees pose a risk of falling onto the tracks, potentially endangering rail traffic. Consequently, specific departures have been canceled, including train number 8040 from Bihać and train number 8041 from Bosanska Otoka.
