Bihar Announces Recruitment of 32,388 Teachers under TRE‑4

The Bihar state government has moved forward with hiring 32,388 teachers under the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE‑4). The Education Department has forwarded a requisition to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), a step announced by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on the social platform X. The recruitment will cover primary to senior secondary levels: 3,847 posts for classes 1‑5, 8,563 for classes 6‑8, 3,877 for classes 9‑10, and 16,101 for classes 11‑12.

Chaudhary described the move as a historic gift for the state's youth, aiming to improve educational quality and create employment. The notification is expected in August, with the entrance exam likely held in September. The hiring drive is part of a broader plan to appoint about 100,000 teachers in Bihar between 2026 and 2030, addressing long‑standing teacher shortages across government schools.
