Bihar authorities review measures to strengthen policing and crime control
Bihar authorities held a joint review meeting to enhance law enforcement and crime control across the state. Led by Home Department Principal Secretary Pankaj Kumar and Director General of Police Preeta Verma, the meeting focused on strengthening patrolling, combating narcotics and cybercrime, and optimizing police resources.
Senior officials identified specific 'crime spots' in all 40 police districts to implement more effective policing strategies. To improve emergency response, officials directed that all police vehicles be integrated with the Dial-112 system. Additionally, senior officers have been instructed to conduct regular night stays in their assigned districts to monitor law and order personally. The department warned that any negligence in duty by sub-divisional officers or station house officers would result in disciplinary action.
