Bihar Cabinet approves police modernization and green energy policies
The Bihar Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, has approved 30 major proposals aimed at strengthening law and order, energy infrastructure, and public health. To enhance police operational capacity and crowd control, the government sanctioned ₹62.52 crore for the procurement of 30 water cannons and 86 Vajra vehicles.
In the energy sector, the cabinet approved the draft of the Bihar Green Hydrogen Policy 2026 to promote renewable energy and investment. Additionally, a plan to solarize 2,554 agricultural feeders with a total capacity of 2,585 MW was approved, involving a grant of ₹2,761.55 crore.
Other key decisions include the development of two cruise terminals in Patna at Sabalpur Diara and Dujra Diara, and financial approval for the Taj City Centre hotel project. In healthcare, the Chief Minister Hemophilia Scheme was approved, allocating ₹26.33 crore for the purchase of Emicizumab in its first year. The cabinet also approved ₹477 crore for the honorarium payments of Anganwadi workers and ICDS staff.
