Bihar Chief Minister implements tech-driven safety and border security measures
Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has initiated several administrative and security measures across the state. In Gaya, the 2026 Pitru Paksha Mela is utilizing advanced technology to manage the annual religious gathering. Measures include AI-assisted crowd management, camera-based surveillance for identifying missing persons, and QR code-enabled wristbands to help reunite separated family members. To assist international and domestic pilgrims, help desks have been equipped with Google Translator-based systems to overcome language barriers.
In a separate security initiative, the Bihar government is collaborating with the central government to strengthen the Indo-Nepal border. During a meeting in Patna, officials discussed enhancing coordination between the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Bihar Police, and central agencies to combat infiltration, drug trafficking, and the circulation of counterfeit currency. The Chief Minister emphasized the need for advanced detection machines in border banks and regular coordination meetings between district magistrates and security agencies.
Additionally, the Chief Minister attended a Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) in Danapur to review educational standards and infrastructure in government schools. He also flagged off 58 highway patrol vehicles to improve road safety and police presence on major routes throughout Bihar.
