Bihar CM meeting with Jamui victim's family sparks privacy controversy

The family of a victim from a harassment case in Jamui, Bihar, met with Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary to discuss ongoing legal actions. A photograph of the meeting between the victim's family and the Chief Minister was circulated on social media, leading to allegations that the identity of the minor victim and her relatives could be compromised. An FIR has been filed against Sagar Prasad, a stenographer in the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), for uploading the image to the X platform.

Opposition leaders, including Tejashwi Yadav and Misa Bharti, have criticized the incident. Misa Bharti approached the Secretariat police station to demand action, alleging that the image was initially made public via the Chief Minister's official social media handles before being removed. The police are continuing their investigation into the harassment case and the breach of privacy.
