Bihar CM Samrat Chaudhary honors Pandit Rajkumar Shukla

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary presided over a state-level function at the Bihar Legislative Council's Annexe Hall to commemorate the 151st birth anniversary of Pandit Rajkumar Shukla. Organized by the Pandit Rajkumar Shukla Smriti Sansthan, the event included the unveiling of the souvenir ‘Shukla Shaurya’ and the presentation of the ‘Pandit Rajkumar Shukla Kala Shikhar Samman’ to Kalpana Patowary for her achievements in art and music.

During his address, Chaudhary emphasized the historical importance of the Champaran Satyagraha, noting that Shukla’s efforts were instrumental in bringing Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi to Bihar to lead the movement against British oppression. He stated that the government aims to ensure the younger generation understands Shukla’s contributions to the national freedom struggle.

Addressing regional challenges, the Chief Minister noted that Bihar has experienced approximately 30 per cent less rainfall than normal this year. To support farmers during this period, the state government has committed to providing an uninterrupted electricity supply for agricultural activities between 6 am and 6 pm.
