Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary launches tech portal and pushes evening college classes

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced the creation of a dedicated "Bihar Tech" portal aimed at promoting startups, technology‑driven enterprises and industrial growth in the state. The portal is intended to streamline legal and administrative processes, attract investment and support entrepreneurs, complementing ongoing projects such as new satellite townships and land‑acquisition for industry. Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw attended the launch.

Choudhary also called for colleges in Bihar to hold classes until 8 pm, saying, “I say let classes run until 8 o’clock in the evening.” He said the government will build the necessary infrastructure, establish more than 200 new colleges and open or deemed universities, and ensure land availability despite the state’s high population density. The move is presented as a way to keep students from moving to other states for higher education.
