Bihar EOU raid seizes assets of executive engineer Arvind Kumar Choudhary

The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) conducted coordinated raids across Bihar targeting executive engineer Arvind Kumar Choudhary of the Minor Water Resources Department. Teams searched his residence and office in Sasaram, his in‑laws' house in Muzaffarpur, and additional locations in Patna and Banaka, seizing documents, bank records, jewellery, luxury flats and other property.

The investigation focuses on alleged disproportionate assets amounting to about ₹20 crore, beyond Choudhary’s declared income. Officials are scrutinising financial transactions, land deeds and electronic records to determine any illegal earnings. The EOU has said further legal action will follow once the inquiry is completed.
