Bihar government reshuffles 17 IAS officers amid political protests

The Bihar government has implemented a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 17 IAS officers to new roles. In a separate but related development, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav was detained in Patna during a protest march toward Lok Bhavan. Yadav was demanding the filling of 32,000 teacher vacancies and the introduction of a domicile policy. The protest follows recent unrest in Siwan, where the transfer of Superintendent of Police Puran Kumar Jha occurred after violent clashes involving police firing that left several civilians injured.
