Bihar government transfers six senior IAS officers
The Bihar government has implemented a fresh administrative reshuffle, transferring six senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The General Administration Department issued the notification on Friday, affecting several key roles within the state's administrative machinery.
Among the changes, Ujjwal Kumar Singh, formerly the Director of the Animal Husbandry Department, has been appointed Special Secretary in the Rural Development Department. Shrikant Shastri, who was awaiting a posting, will now serve as the Director of the Animal Husbandry Department. Vivek Ranjan Maitreya has been named Additional Secretary in the Information and Public Relations Department, while Nitin Kumar Singh has been appointed Director of the Secondary Education Department.
District-level adjustments include Nilima Sahu, previously the Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) of Nawada, moving to a role as Joint Secretary in the Health Department. Divya Shakti, the former DDC of Kaimur, has been appointed Commissioner of the Excise and Prohibition Department.
