Bihar increases teacher recruitment vacancies to 33,385
Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari has announced an increase in teacher recruitment vacancies for the TRE-4 examination. Specifically, 111 additional seats have been allocated for music teachers, bringing the total number of vacancies for TRE-4 to 33,385.
This decision follows previous adjustments where 886 posts were added after discussions with candidates for various language subjects, including Maithili, Bhojpuri, Magahi, Prakrit, and Pali. The Minister noted that the increase for music teachers came after meeting with female candidates from districts such as Araria, Purnia, Gopalganj, and Kaimur.
Additionally, the Bihar government has decided to remove the word ‘fail’ from the examination certificates of students in government schools. To protect student morale, certificates for those who do not pass will instead use terms such as ‘eligible for skill’ or ‘recommended for skill’, acknowledging that students may possess talents in areas like sports or arts despite academic challenges.
