Bihar lawyer Azimuddin shot dead in Katihar market

Advocate Azimuddin, also known as Guddu Ansari, was shot dead in broad daylight on Monday morning in the Katihar district of Bihar. The attack occurred near Patel Chowk in the Kumhar Toli area while Ansari was in a crowded market.

CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, showing three men surrounding the lawyer near a staircase. One of the assailants is seen firing at Ansari at close range before the group fled the scene. Ansari was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are currently investigating the motive. While no official confirmation has been made, family members have alleged the killing may be linked to a dispute at the local court approximately three months ago. Investigators are examining CCTV recordings from surrounding shops to identify the suspects and trace their movements.
