Bihar police dismantle inter-district robbery gang

Police in the East Champaran district of Bihar have dismantled an inter-district robbery gang, arresting four individuals. Authorities recovered approximately 15.50 lakh rupees in cash, pistols, live cartridges, 2.107 kilograms of a narcotic substance resembling cannabis, silver jewelry, mobile phones, and a motorcycle used in the crimes.

The gang, which has links to Sitamarhi and Nepal, is believed to be responsible for five robberies in the Sikrahna subdivision over the past several months. The investigation followed a robbery at the residence of Manoj Kumar Sharma on August 30. The arrested individuals include the gang leader, Mohammad Safiq Mansuri, who faces multiple criminal charges, along with Mohammad Tanveer Sheikh, Shambhu Paswan, and Amarnath Thakur.
