Bihar police seize 75 liters of liquor from First AC train coach
Police in Bihar arrested a woman, identified as Neha Jha, at Samastipur Railway Station after discovering 75 liters of branded foreign liquor in a First AC coach of the Swatantrata Senani Express. The shipment, traveling from New Delhi to Jaynagar, was intercepted by a joint team of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP), and the Crime Intelligence Branch (CIB).
Investigations suggest Jha used her professional identity as a medical representative to facilitate the smuggling of alcohol into Bihar, despite the state's prohibition laws. She allegedly targeted influential individuals and doctors in Darbhanga as clients. Authorities are also investigating a supply network involving her brother-in-law, Ishan Kumar, who is believed to coordinate the procurement of alcohol from Haryana to be transported into Bihar.
