Bihar political leaders urge government action on teacher security and legal disputes

Political leaders in Bihar are raising concerns regarding administrative and legal issues within the state. Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of the Opposition and RJD national executive president, has written to Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary requesting the government to file a review petition in the Supreme Court to protect the service security of appointed teachers. Yadav highlighted that thousands of teachers, including those appointed after March 31, 2015, face potential termination and salary freezes following recent judicial and departmental directives. He urged the government to halt any dismissal actions and hold officials accountable for administrative errors in recruitment records.

Separately, RJD MP Sudhakar Singh has issued an open letter to Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary following a defamation notice served to him by IPS officer Kundan Krishnan, Director General of the Special Task Force. The notice alleges that Singh made false and defamatory statements regarding the officer's role in an encounter case. Singh has challenged the legality of the notice, questioning whether the officer obtained necessary government permission before issuing it, and has accused the officer of acting arbitrarily.
