Bihar schools investigate mid-day meals after worms found in food
Students at 75 government schools in the Arwal district of Bihar refused to eat their mid-day meals on Tuesday after discovering worms in the food. The contamination was reportedly found in the rice and soybean-potato curry served to the children.
Upon noticing the worms, students alerted their teachers and discarded their plates. The incident has prompted the Bihar Education Department to order an investigation into the food supplier responsible for the meals. The discovery has raised significant concerns regarding the safety and quality control of the food provided under the state's mid-day meal scheme.
