Bihar State Women's Commission celebrates silver jubilee in Patna

The Bihar State Women's Commission celebrated its silver jubilee with a grand ceremony at Bapu Sabhaghar in Patna. The event marked 25 years of the commission's work in addressing women's rights, safety, and empowerment. As part of the commemoration, a special commemorative postage stamp is being issued to honor the commission's journey.

Health Minister Nishant Kumar attended the event, where he received significant public support and cheers from the audience. During his speech, Kumar reflected on the work done for women during the NDA government's tenure in 2005, noting his pride in his father's contributions to women's welfare. The ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Deputy Chief Ministers.

The celebration serves as a platform to discuss the commission's achievements over the past quarter-century and to outline future priorities regarding women's issues and legal protections in the state.
