Bihar STET 2026: Applications open for teacher eligibility tests

The Bihar Vidyalaya Pariksha Samiti (BSEB) has announced the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026. Online applications for Paper I and Paper II will be accepted from August 17 to August 31, 2026.

Paper I is designed for secondary-level teacher eligibility (classes 9-10), requiring a graduation degree in a relevant subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. qualification. Paper II is for higher secondary-level subjects (classes 11-12), requiring a post-graduation degree with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. Candidates from reserved categories (SC, ST, EBC, BC, and PwD) may receive a 5% relaxation in academic percentage requirements.

The examination will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) for 150 marks with no negative marking. Applicants must be at least 21 years old as of August 1, 2026, with maximum age limits ranging from 37 to 42 years depending on the category.
