Bihar Wedding Feast Turns Violent Over Food Dispute, Seven Injured

A wedding ceremony in Rajanpur village, Mahishi block of Saharsa district, Bihar, ended in a violent clash when members of the groom’s party alleged they were promised mutton but were served chicken. The disagreement quickly escalated into a physical fight, with sticks and rods used by participants from both families.

More than seven people from the groom’s side, identified as Ashik, Irfan, Hasan, Abbas, Jabbar, Atif and Mahboob, were injured and taken to Simri Bakhtiyarpur Sub‑Divisional Hospital for treatment. Police have launched an investigation, recording statements from both families and preparing to take legal action based on the complaints filed.
