Bihar woman dies after assault over financial dispute

A 47-year-old woman, Jag Tarni Devi, has died in Bihar following an assault stemming from a long-standing financial dispute. The incident occurred on October 15 in Bada Bharti village within the Panapur OP area.

According to police reports, the confrontation escalated into violence, during which the woman sustained serious injuries. Her son, Avinash Kumar, and other family members were also beaten while attempting to intervene. Despite receiving medical treatment at a private hospital, Jag Tarni Devi passed away on October 19.

Following the woman's death, police registered a case at the Meenapur police station based on her son's statement. One suspect, Rajiv Sahni, has been arrested, while authorities are conducting raids to locate and apprehend other individuals allegedly involved in the attack.
