Bijapur police recover AK-47 and weapons cache in Chhattisgarh forest

Police in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh have recovered a cache of weapons and ammunition hidden underground in the forests of Utla village, located within the Bhairamgarh police station area. The seizure occurred during an anti-Naxal operation conducted following intelligence provided by surrendered Naxalites.

The recovered items include an AK-47 rifle, a .315 bore rifle, a single-shot rifle, and a 9mm pistol. Additionally, authorities seized two AK-47 magazines and a total of 76 live cartridges, consisting of 45 rounds for the AK-47, 25 rounds for the 9mm pistol, and 6 rounds for the .315 bore rifle.

Law enforcement officials stated that they are continuing to interrogate surrendered Naxalites to gather information regarding organizational activities and previous incidents. The recovered materials have been taken to the Bhairamgarh police station for further legal proceedings.
