Bijnor Police SHO suspended for sharing explicit video

An Inspector serving as the Station House Officer (SHO) at the Barahpur police station in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, has been suspended following the sharing of an explicit video in an official police WhatsApp group.

The incident occurred approximately five days ago. Although the video was deleted shortly after being posted, several police personnel had reportedly downloaded the content and taken screenshots.

Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Bishnoi ordered an investigation into the matter, forming a team to determine how and when the video was shared. Following an inquiry that included questioning personnel at the Barahpur station, the investigation team submitted its report to the SP. Based on these findings, Neeraj Kumar, the SHO, was suspended on Wednesday for misconduct, and a departmental inquiry has been initiated.
