Bilal Erdoğan addresses family dynamics at Eskişehir summit
Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the İlim Yayma Foundation, spoke at the Eskişehir Family Summit held at the Eskişehir Osmangazi University (ESOGÜ) Congress and Culture Center. The summit was organized through a collaboration involving the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Eskişehir Governor's Office, Anadolu University, ESOGÜ, and the Yunus Emre Association.
During his address, Erdoğan argued that the family unit is facing challenges from capitalist systems that promote individualism over community. He suggested that modern technology is used to profile individuals to make them more consumerist and easily manipulated, noting that the family unit acts as a resilient structure that is harder to fragment.
Erdoğan also addressed declining fertility rates, noting that Turkey's rate has dropped from 2.5 to 1.4. He emphasized that addressing these demographic shifts is a shared responsibility between men and women. Additionally, he highlighted Turkey's role as a significant source of political and humanitarian support for Palestine.
