Bilal Erdoğan attends Süleyman Demirel University academic opening

Bilal Erdoğan, President of the World Ethnosport Federation, attended the opening of the 2026-2027 academic year and the Social Contribution Award ceremony at Süleyman Demirel University (SDÜ). During the event, Erdoğan was presented with a ‘Social Contribution Award’ by the university senate.

In his address, Erdoğan emphasized that universities must go beyond producing academic knowledge to focus on cultivating ethical individuals. He noted that in the age of artificial intelligence, institutions must prepare for the future through enhanced research and academic development. He also highlighted the growth in research budgets, the number of universities, and their international rankings in Turkey over the last 23 years, linking this progress to the increase in technology-intensive exports.

Erdoğan criticized the trend of seeking easy wealth and fame through social media, stating that true success requires patience, labor, and continuity. He called for young people to embrace hard work and struggle against challenges rather than seeking shortcuts. Additionally, he touched upon global issues, including wars and social injustices, urging good people to act with courage and solidarity.
