Bilal Erdoğan calls for Palestine solidarity at London Halal Forum

At the London Halal Forum, Bilal Erdoğan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ibn Haldun University, spoke at a 'Palestine Breakfast' event held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre. Alongside Palestinian Ambassador to London Husam Zomlot, Erdoğan emphasized the need for continued solidarity with Palestinians.

Erdoğan highlighted that a platform of NGOs was established in October 2023 to address the humanitarian situation in Palestine. He noted that efforts are underway to provide monthly financial support to 65,000 orphans in Gaza who require assistance, particularly in education.

Regarding humanitarian aid, Erdoğan stated that despite agreements intended to allow 600 trucks of aid into Gaza, the actual daily volume in September was less than 200 trucks. He noted that aid materials from Turkey, including those marked 'Made in Türkiye', have faced obstacles in entering the region.
